September Ipsy Bag 2014

I'm so happy about my makeup bag this month! There are some really great products in here and I'm excited to share them with you. This month there were five products and I loved how they are all very different.

The bag is fairly large and can fit all the products in it with room to spare. The color is silver with a black zipper and studs across the top.

The theme of the bag this month is Street Style. I think the lipstick and the eyeliner are very fitting for the grungy street styles today. I loved seeing the looks they created on the paper that came with the bag. I think Ipsy always create cute themes to go with their bags, and this one is no exception!

The item I was most excited about was the brush from Crown Brush. This is the Infinity Shadow/Crease Duet Brush. I'm not always the biggest fan of two sided brushes because I always feel the need to store them sideways in order to keep them clean, but I really enjoy this one.The smaller side is very dense and is perfect for putting the a color into your crease, while the larger side is fluffy and is great for blending. Overall, the brush is very soft and I think I will get a lot of use out of it.

I received a 3-in-1 product from LeeAnni Eco. This is a moisturizer, toner and serum in one. It feels really smooth on the skin and has a cooling type effect when you apply it. I love using this at night because when I wake up my skin is so smooth. I was so happy that I did not break out from this product and I can continue to use it!

Next, I have a deep conditioning hair mask from Briogeo. This is the Don't Despair, Repair mask. I'm probably the least happy about this product as it is for dry, damaged, or chemically treated hair. My hair is not any of those things, so I don't have a use for a product like this. (I do not need softer hair, it will never stay in a ponytail or bun ever again!) However, this product smells very good, so I may have to use it just for that reason.

I was searching for a new brown eyeliner and Ipsy basically read my mind. They sent me the Pacifica Natural Water-Proof Eye Pencil in the color Fringe. It's a gorgeous dark brown color. I have been using this to tight line my eyes every day and I also put some on my waterline. It has pretty good staying power, although it's not the best on my waterline. Anyway, I really love this product and I will continue using it every day!

Finally, Ipsy did not help me with my lipstick addiction, and now I have another beautiful fall color. (Not that I'm complaining about that, but I'm running out of room in my lipstick drawer. I received the Hikari lipstick in the color cabernet. It's an amazing berry color and I think it compliments my skin tone pretty well. I will get some use out of this product!

Here are the swatches of the lipstick and the eyeliner on the back of my hand. You can see what they would look like on you if you have a fair skin tone like me!

I hope you liked this blog post! I really enjoy doing posts about my Ipsy bag every month. If you're interested in the subscription or any of the products, check out ipsy.com. I hope you're having a great week and I will talk to you soon! Goodbye! xo
